CHROME PLATING

Chrome plating or hard chrome plating is achieved through the electrolytic application of a layer of chromium to the treated component, which acquires considerable properties, without losing its mechanical characteristics.

PRECISION GRINDING

We perform precision grinding , both before and after chrome plating treatment.
Thanks to the production experience gained over decades, we are able to perform cylindrical
grinding on a wide range of metallic components

POLISHING

We are specialized in the polishing of stainless steel materials, like cylinders, plates and moulds for
the industries of glass, food, pharmaceutical, tannery, gold and silver industries.
We can achieve different levels of finish, up to a final roughness of 0.001 microns (mirror finish).

SANDBLASTING

We make workings of microengraving and sandblasting with different levels of roughness, to obtain matt effects for any customer specifications.

Tannery industry

ROLLERS

Chrome plating and grinding of cylinders for continuous rotary presses used in the ironing and printing of leathers. The hard chrome coating has a thickness from 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm and a hardness of about 70 HRC.
Bright mirror superfinishing on the cylinder surfaces is achieved on the chromium layer with special processes in order to reach an approximate final roughness value of Ra = 0.001 microns.
These types of finishes transfer the gloss to the skins, highlighting their quality.
The processes of sandblasting and microengraving (microcell) with different degrees of roughness, carried out on the surfaces of the cylinders through special processes, have the purpose to hide almost all the defects of the leathers, uniform them and improve their quality.

PLATES

Construction of monobloc plates – 10 mm thickness – made from high-grade carbon steel sheets in various dimensions, for vertical hydraulic presses used in leather printing and ironing. Sandblasting and microengraving (microcell) processes with different degrees of roughness are carried out using the same procedures as for cylinders. The CR-SF codes and surface types are the same as those for cylinders.

RECONDITION OF EMBOSSING PLATES

Special ceramization, nickel and chrome-plating treatment is performed on both steel, copper bimetallic and photo-engraved plates, to remove rust and oxidation and restore them to their original condition.

ABBREVIATION AND TYPE OF SURFACES

BRIGHT MIRROR PLATE CR-SF 00
These are smooth, mirror-polished chromed surfaces, used in leather ironing to achieve a shiny, glossy result.

SILVER PLATES MG 60 (NEW)
The new SILVER plate is an ironing plate with a very light engraving. It is used to iron the leather in a natural way, leaving a soft and velvet effect.

CR.SF-20 S1 / CR.SF-20 S2 / CR.SF-30 SANDBLASTED PLATES
These sandblasted (matt) surfaces have a light engraving, in decreasing order (CR.SF- 20 S1 big – CR.SF-20 S2 medium – CR.SF-30 fine). They are particularly suitable in the intermediate step of finishing, to hide light defects. Excellent results are obtained on greased leathers.

MICROCELL PLATES CR.SF-150 (SPLENDOR) / CR-SF 155 (NEW) /CR.SF-170 / CR.SF-190
They are a compromise between sandblasted and hair cell, and since they are not a real design, they do not transfer any repeating marks on the leathers.
Especially suitable in the intermediate step of finishing, to correct and uniformize of leather surfaces. The most popular and effective type of microcell is CR.SF-150 called “SPLENDOR,” which is very similar to the haircell, to which it is often combined, in order to reduce and eliminate the problem of the repeated marks, improving the quality of the treated leathers.

CR.SF-120 / CR.SF 180 MICROCELL PLATES
The surface engraving of these three types of microcell, unlike the others, is directly obtained on the chrome layer.
The result is a good shiny look, particularly suitable in the final step of the finishing.
